And it was the same house that Johann Wolfgang Goethe, the poet, was staying at for the first time in 1806. Thanks to the comforts and extended care provided by the owner he was then coming repeatedly back to stay in this house: nine times in total. Among others, he met Amalie von Levetzow there, a good friend of his, and her daughter Ulrika, aged two at that time. In 1909, a new owner, chief building councillor Strüdel pulled the 150-year old house down. A new Art Nouveau styled house was built up on the site. The construction was performed by Bedrich Ohmann, a well known architect of Prague, the builder of the Castle Colonnade. The latest reconstruction, improving the comfort of accommodation in the Kucera guesthouse, was carried out in January 2002, in keeping with the original style of the building.

We are offering following two types of rooms:

Category A - 6 large rooms (approx. 36 m2) with view of the colonnade, private bathroom and toilet, TV SAT, refrigerator.

category B - 10 rooms with view of the rear wing, private bathroom and toilet, TV SAT, refrigerator

Our guests may use the hotel parking lot, common kitchen, and hotel safe as well as avail of a mountain-bike rental facility. Accommodation of pets is free. We accept most credit cards.

Near the guesthouse, there are a covered thermal pool, a golf course and tennis courts, a sauna, a museum, a theatre and other cultural facilities and services (massages, hair-dresser, sale of souvenirs, etc.). We also provide our guests with spa treatment in specialized spa houses close to our guesthouse, according to the requirements of our guests. We can ensure transport from the Prague's airport and back, trips as well as spa treatment. The Kueera guesthouse prepares a continental breakfast for each guest.
